Spacious 2 Bedroom 1.5 Bath Townhouse in Panama City Beach, FL less than 5 minute walk to the Beach
Welcome to The Sassy Mermaid! We hope your days are filled with sunshine and salty air.
Our quiet, gated community is a perfect place for a family stay with all of the amenities you could want including 11 pools (5 heated seasonally and one right on the beach), a full-service restaurant on the beach, putt putt, tennis courts, shuffleboard, playgrounds and more! In addition to those amenities and the hours of entertainment in your own back yard, there is a walking path from the resort leading to the Shoppes at Edgewater with restaurants, ice cream, bowling, pool, axe throwing and escape rooms! We are also just a mile from Shipwreck Island Water Park and less than a mile from Just Jump Trampoline Park, Wonder Works, Coconut Creek Family Fun Park and Ripley’s. We are also just 5 miles from all of the shopping, dining and entertainment at Pier Park!
Gulf Highlands Beach Resort has:
Tennis, shuffleboard, pickleball courts, mini-golf, fitness room and 11 pools total, including 1 beachfront pool and 5 heated pools. Our townhouse is located directly across from one of the heated pools.
Private Beach Access :
Upon booking, you’ll receive timely communications about your trip. Access to your professionally cleaned and sanitized home is also convenient with our custom keyless locks. And, if you need to contact me for anything, please do not hesitate to call or text (Preferably) at 205-475-0227!
GOLF CART Rental is available with a $50 Non-Refundable Deposit and $50 per day or $300 per week. The usage for the Golf Cart is restricted to inside the Resort. Anyone driving it must be 16 years of age or older and have a valid drivers license. It is NOT street legal and you will receive a ticket for driving it outside the gates of the Resort. Any fees, fines or towing or other costs in regards to your failure to abide by these rules are solely the responsibility of the person renting said Golf Cart. You will be required to sign a Release form before receiving the keys to the golf cart and the lock. The keys to the lock and the Golf Cart will be in a special lock box with a code on the front of the townhouse. Prior to check-out the Golf Cart will need to be covered back up (If the cover is with the golf cart at the time of pickup) and the extension cord used to charge it will need to be place on the shelf in the Laundry Room and the keys returned to the lock box and the numbers will need to be moved around and not left set at the code numbers. If keys are lost or not placed in the lock box you will be charged a $150.00 fee to the credit/debit card on file. If the extension cord is lost or stolen during your rental period you will be charged a $25.00.00 replacement fee for the extension cord.

The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook meals during your stay, including dishes, cookware, utensils, a Keurig coffee maker, and a traditional 12-cup coffee maker. -

Enjoy private, password-protected Wi-Fi throughout the townhouse, perfect for staying connected or catching up on work. The laundry room features a full-size washer and dryer for your convenience. -
Bedrooms:
Upstairs, the master bedroom boasts a comfortable king-size four-poster bed and a wall-mounted smart TV with streaming and cable. Step out onto the private balcony with chairs—ideal for early risers wanting to catch the sunrise or those who love watching beautiful sunsets with a drink in hand.
The second bedroom offers a cozy queen bed and an XL twin bed, plus a flat-screen TV with an Amazon Fire Stick. -
Living Area:
The spacious living room features a large wall-mounted smart TV with cable and Amazon Fire, a comfy double leather recliner, and a leather sectional sofa that converts into a queen bed—perfect for extra guests. A bar area with a charging station offers a cozy spot to relax with your morning coffee or check emails. -
Special Touches:
We pride ourselves on the "good ice"—the kind you love to munch on! Our icemaker produces this quality ice (just be sure to fill it with bottled water to keep it going). -
Outdoor Spaces:
Enjoy relaxing on the patio or upstairs balcony. There’s also an outdoor gas grill for your cooking pleasure.

Resort Grounds:
Use any of the 11 pools, 5 tennis courts, pickleball courts, the 18-hole mini golf course, playground, and a small exercise room.
The beachside clubhouse and pool are just a short 5-minute walk away. -
Beach Gear:
We provide beach chairs, umbrellas, a pull cart, tennis racquets, and board games for your enjoyment. -
Parking:
Two designated parking spots are reserved for you directly in front of the townhouse. No waiting for elevators or carrying luggage across large lots! Please do not park in other spots to avoid towing. -
Security:
Gulf Highlands is a gated, 24/7 secured community. You will receive gate codes and a parking pass for access.

Resort Amenities:
The resort offers 11 pools (5 heated seasonally from October 15 to April 15), including one right outside our door (not heated) and a beachfront pool with a snack bar exclusive to owners and guests.
There’s an 18-hole mini golf course (putters and balls provided), 4 tennis courts, shuffleboard with equipment, and a playground. -
Beach Access:
The beach is a quick 5 minute walk through the gate and across the signalized pedestrian crosswalk. For convenience, we offer a beach pull-cart. Golf cart rentals are also available for an additional fee. -
Nearby Attractions:
St. Andrews State Park is a short drive away as is the Historic St. Andrews Bay is a short drive away, offering charming shopping and dining overlooking the marina. Take a scenic drive west along 30A to the quaint village of Seaside for more shopping and dining experiences.

I am a wife, mother, grandmother, and child of God. I’m a fun-loving person who treasures traveling with my husband and family. Growing up by the river, I always loved pretending to be a mermaid—so much so that it became a big part of who I am. Over time, my “sassy” side emerged too, known for speaking my mind with honesty and heart. When we found our special place in Panama City Beach, there was only one name that fit: THE SASSY MERMAID PCB.
